Happy Birthday, Your Majesty!
Exactly a decade ago, in 2015, five of us undertook a 14-and-a-half-day journey of full prostrations from Paro Kichu Lhakhang to Thimphu Tashichho Dzong Kuenra. We spent nights in tents by the roadside, prostrating through sun and rain, and enduring the freezing mornings all to offer our deepest prayers and devotion in celebration of His Majesty’s 60th Birth Anniversary.
Those days remain among the most sacred and unforgettable moments of our lives, a heartfelt tribute filled with faith, gratitude, and loyalty to our beloved Fourth Druk Gyalpo.
Today, as we celebrate His Majesty’s 70th Birthday, I joyfully recall those moments with deep reverence and continue to pray for His Majesty’s long life, perfect health, and everlasting peace for our Kingdom of Bhutan.
Long live His Majesty the Great Fourth!
