To His Majesty the 4th Druk Gyelpo,
Under Your Majesty’s enlightened guidance, Bhutan embarked on a path of peace, progress, and balanced development, founded upon the noble philosophy of Gross National Happiness, which continues to inspire nations around the world. On this momentous day, I offer my prayers for Your Majesty’s continued good health, happiness, and long life. May the blessings of the Guardian Deities forever protect and guide Your Majesty. And if there were to be another life beyond this one, I would still wish to be born under Your Majesty’s benevolent reign, to once again be in the presence of such a noble and compassionate King.
