A monarch of destiny, His Majesty’s reign has been marked by extraordinary vision and selfless leadership that transformed the destiny of our Kingdom.
Among the many noble legacies of His Majesty, one of the most historic was the defense of our nation’s sovereignty in 2003, when His Majesty personally led the armed forces to eliminate foreign intruders and secure the peace and security of Bhutan. It was an act of unmatched bravery and deep devotion to the people and the country.
Today, the peace, harmony, and prosperity we cherish are the enduring gifts of His Majesty’s farsighted leadership. On the auspicious occasion of His Majesty’s 70th Birth Anniversary, I join the entire nation in offering my deepest respects and heartfelt prayers for His Majesty’s continued good health, happiness, and long life.
