His Majesty the Great Fourth, whom we Bhutanese believe to be the true reincarnation of Zhabdrung, is a legendary example, leading by his words and actions with far-sighted views. Never in this life, and even with the enormous rebirth of our lives, can we express enough gratitude for what and how Bhutan is today. Turning 70 is a day for every Bhutanese, wherever they are, to come together and pay tribute to His Majesty’s birthday, wishing for a long life and a peaceful country with prosperity and the glorious vision of His Majesty’s developmental concept of Gross National Happiness (GNH).
