The Great Fourth, His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuck was not only a King, but a living God, Zhabdrung’s incarnation with Chana Dorji’s strength, Jambayang’s wisdom and Chenrayzee’s compassion. Such kind of selfless King was never born as far as I know. The King who led the army to the battle field, the King who never wear other countries dress, The King who always puts His people ahead is the Great Fourth.
11th November 2025 is the most sacred day in Bhutan because this is not only the 70th Birth Anniversary of our Great Fourth, but also the Descending of Lord Buddha and also declared as Mother’s Day by His Holiness the 70th Je Khenpo.
On this day, I reassure my dedication wholeheartedly to work hard for our future generations in safeguarding our forests and natural resources which is also envisioned by the Great Fourth. I pray for His Majesty’s long life and good health without any ailments.
