As a child, I heard the legend of the Bodhisattva King Drimed Kuenden, who gave everything for his people. I once thought it was only a story, beyond imagination. But as I learned about His Majesty the Fourth King, I realized that such compassion and selflessness truly exist.
Even after passing the throne, His Majesty’s love and care for the people remain unwavering — from guiding us through the COVID-19 pandemic to comforting those affected by the Dechencholing flood. A true king never retires; his presence continues to bless our nation.
Even if His Majesty were to live just one more day, it would be a blessing beyond measure for Bhutan and the world. For a being of such greatness and compassion, even a single day of his life brings light, peace, and boundless happiness to all.
I humbly wish His Majesty long life and good health.
