On this special day, I offer my deepest respects and heartfelt felicitations to His Majesty The Fourth Druk Gyalpo. I also express my sincere gratitude for the gift of the GNH philosophy. Growing up, I knew GNH as something unique to Bhutan, but I began to truly understand its meaning only after working at the GNH Centre Bhutan. In these months, I met people from many backgrounds, and I realized that many still see wellbeing as something distant. But GNH teaches us that wellbeing is a right for all, not a luxury. It guides us to care for our own minds, our communities, and our natural world.
Today the world speaks of compassion, sustainability, and meaningful progress – yet Bhutan was already walking this path because of the wisdom of our Kings. I am humbled to play even a small role in this journey.
I pray for Your Majesty’s long life, good health, and continued guidance.
